Fibro and fibre cement homes require a specific approach — low pressure only. High-pressure washing on fibro cladding risks disturbing the surface and damaging the material. We use safe soft wash methods specifically suited to fibro homes across Redlands, South Burnett, Somerset and all of SEQ.

Fibro homes — built from asbestos cement sheeting (bonded fibro) and later fibre cement products — are common across Redlands, South Burnett and Somerset, particularly in properties built between the 1940s and 1990s. Cleaning fibro cladding safely requires a low-pressure approach. High-pressure washing on fibro can disturb the surface, cause cracking, and on older bonded asbestos cement sheets, creates risks that simply don't need to exist. Soft washing is the correct, safe, compliant method for fibro homes — low-pressure application of a cleaning solution that kills mould, algae and lichen at the root, with a gentle rinse that cleans without disturbing the material. We work with fibro homes regularly across our service areas and take a careful, considered approach to every job. Pricing confirmed upfront, before we start any work.
Low-pressure soft washing of fibro and fibre cement exterior walls. We use the correct pressure and chemical concentration for the material — never a standard high-pressure approach.
Corrugated fibro roofing (including Super Six sheeting on older properties) cleaned safely at low pressure. Mould, lichen and algae removed at the root without disturbing the surface.
Walls, roof, eaves and gutters all included in one visit. Before and after photos on every job. Firm quote upfront, no surprises.
After every fibro job we photograph the result and note any areas of the cladding that show surface damage or cracking that existed prior to cleaning — protecting both the homeowner and ourselves with a clear record.
We never use high pressure on fibro cladding. This is non-negotiable. Our soft wash method is specifically suited to fibro and fibre cement surfaces.
We regularly work on properties from the 1940s through to the 1990s across Redlands, South Burnett and Somerset. We understand the construction and the materials.
Every job is covered by our full public liability insurance. Documentation available on request.
No — high pressure washing is not recommended for fibro cladding. It can crack or chip the surface. On older bonded asbestos cement sheeting it creates risks that are entirely avoidable with the correct low-pressure soft wash method.
Fibro cladding was commonly used in homes built between the 1940s and 1990s. It has a distinctive flat, sheet appearance. If you're unsure, we can assess the material type when we quote your job.
We clean the exterior surface of bonded (non-friable) asbestos cement sheeting using low-pressure soft washing only. We do not disturb, remove or work on friable asbestos. If you have concerns about the condition of your sheeting, consult a licensed asbestos assessor before any work.
Every 12 to 24 months is typical. Fibro in shaded or humid positions builds up organic growth faster. Regular cleaning also helps you monitor the condition of the sheeting over time.
