What We Clean
Concrete driveways — the most common driveway surface in Queensland. Standard grey and coloured concrete, exposed aggregate and stencilled/stamped concrete all cleaned using appropriate methods. Oil stains, tyre marks, algae growth, general soiling and atmospheric staining removed.
Clay and concrete pavers — driveway pavers and patio pavers cleaned without displacing joint sand. Chemical pre-treatment for biological growth combined with surface cleaner at appropriate pressure for the paver material. Sealing available after cleaning to extend results.
Paths and footpaths — entry paths, side paths, rear paths and footpaths on your property boundary. Slip-hazard algae and moss removal from all pedestrian surfaces — a safety issue as well as an aesthetic one.
Patios and entertainment areas — outdoor entertaining surfaces including concrete, pavers, timber decks (sealed timber only), tile and aggregate entertainment areas.
Pool surrounds — pool decks, coping tiles and pool surrounds cleaned of slip-hazard algae and biological growth. Appropriate chemical concentration used around pool environments to protect water quality.
Retaining walls — concrete block, brick and rendered retaining walls cleaned of biological growth and staining. Often heavily lichen-affected in shaded or moist areas adjacent to garden beds.
The Right Equipment Makes the Difference
The most common mistake in DIY driveway cleaning is using a lance nozzle on a standard pressure washer. This produces the characteristic streaking pattern — pale stripes where the jet hit, darker patches between passes — that's immediately obvious and looks worse than the original staining.
We use a commercial-grade flat surface cleaner — a rotating disc attachment that delivers consistent, even pressure across the entire surface simultaneously. No streaking, no uneven cleaning, no pattern marking. The result is a uniformly clean surface across the entire driveway.
For oil and fuel staining, we pre-treat with a commercial degreaser and allow dwell time before pressure cleaning. This breaks down the hydrocarbon compounds that water and pressure alone cannot shift. Severe or old oil staining may require multiple treatments.
For biological growth on concrete and pavers, we use chemical pre-treatment with sodium hypochlorite solution before pressure cleaning. This kills the growth at the root — stopping the rapid regrowth that occurs when you pressure clean without chemical treatment.
